THE Island OF FIRE; SIQUIJOR ISLAND
 1D DIY ITINERARY + BUDGET
April 9, 2017

Someone told me that getting around Siquijor is quite expensive but if you planned your trip months ahead of your travel date, then I can assure you, you can travel Siquijor for not spending much. There are two ways to reach Siquijor, either from Dumaguete or from Bohol. You can take a ferry boat from Dumaguete port for PHP160 via Montenegro Shipping Lines. If you’re from Bohol, you can take a ferry boat (lite shipping company) for PHP260 every Saturday only.  Before our travelling date, it’s my job to do the research stuff like what activities to do, where to eat, where to stay, etc. But then we found out that one of my friend has a relative on the island which is luckily we can stay there for a night for free! Big thanks to Tubiano’s family who accommodates us very well. They also booked our ticket in advanced going back to Bohol. We arrived at Siquijor around 8PM, April 8, 2017. We rode a tricycle going to their house and we’re asked for PHP100 fare (we didn’t see that coming), so we ask our friend’s cousin if how much does the fare rate and it only cost PHP8 only. But we’re still lucky coz they also contacted a driver (Multicab) for us to tour around the island by the next day. It was a hassle-free tour for us. Even our breakfast was free; they even cooked rice for us for lunch. We just bought roasted chicken (letchon manok) for our viand.

Touchdown Siquijor.

One day tour of the island isn’t enough but we still have jobs in Bohol waiting for us so we need to manage our time. These are the places we visited during our Siquijor Trip.
